She was born on the 10th June 1899, and by the age of 16, she had moved to Berlin and made her debut as a cabaret dancer. She was famous for her bright red bob and her boundary braking performances, with their androgyny and nudity. Her drug addiction and her bisexual relationships were also a big talk of Weimar Berlin.
Berber reminds me of Sally Bowles in Goodbye to Berlin. Brendan quoted that,
"She wore heavy dancer’s make-up, which on the black-and-white photos and films of the time came across as jet black lipstick painted across the heart-shaped part of her skinny lips, and charcoaled eyes."
This will be taken into consideration when creating my final images.
